This appeal principally involves judicial review of a criminal sentence to determine whether it is excessive under LSA-Const. Art. 1, Sec. 20.

Defendant, Freddie Walker, brought this appeal following his conviction for the aggravated burglary of an inhabited dwelling, in violation of LSA-R.S. 14:60. After a judge trial, held on October 18, 1986, he was found guilty as charged and sentenced on October 21, 1986 to serve twenty-five (25) years...
