BARFIELD, Justice.

The claimant appeals a workers' compensation order finding that an injury resulting from an assault on the job site by a co-worker was not compensable. We reverse.

The claimant, a laborer at a construction site, sometimes rode with the co-worker (Kirkland) on payday to cash his check and they occasionally bought each other lunch or had a beer together. It was common on the job for men to borrow a few dollars from one another for lunch or...
