This is an appeal from a murder conviction. TEX.PENAL CODE ANN. § 19.02 (Vernon 1989). A jury found Joseph Alvin Morelos guilty of murder, as charged in the indictment, and the trial court assessed punishment at life imprisonment in the Texas Department of Corrections.
