WILLIAMS, Judge.

Defendant, Frank J. Woods, was charged by bill of information with purse snatching, a violation of LSA-R.S. 14:65.1. After a jury trial, defendant was found guilty as charged. He was sentenced to twenty years at hard labor.1 Defendant appeals, assigning as error the trial court's instruction to the jury that "(y)ou may infer that a person in the unexplained possession of property recently stolen is the thief."
