This action arises out of a dispute over the rights to publish the autobiography of Lech Walesa ("Walesa"), the Nobel laureate and world renowned leader of the Solidarity labor movement in Poland. The dispute originated during a time when the attempt to tell the life story of Walesa, a symbol of the opposition to the communist government in Poland, was an endeavor necessarily shrouded in secrecy.
