The appellant was found guilty of perjury in the first degree, in violation of § 13A-10-101, Code of Alabama (1975). He was sentenced to ten years' imprisonment, with the sentence to be split so that three years would be served and seven years suspended, during which the appellant would be placed on supervised probation for a period of five years.
