Charles Lee Anderson pleaded guilty to possession of a firearm by a felon in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 922(g) (Supp. V 1987). At sentencing, the district court observed that previous consolidated sentences permitted Anderson to have fewer criminal history points than he might have had if his past offenses had been tried separately.
