In January 1985 plaintiff Haugabrook purchased from defendant Waco Fire & Casualty Insurance Company ("Waco") a fire insurance policy covering a building that housed a supermarket and the contents therein. On September 29, 1985, a fire damaged the building and caused the complete destruction of the store's contents.
