We granted certiorari primarily to fully consider relator's complaint of double jeopardy, but we will also consider the legality of the jury verdict.

Relator, Joseph W. Jones, was charged by bill of information with attempted first degree murder, a violation of La.R.S. 14:30 and 14:27, and with armed robbery, a violation of La.R.S. 14:64.
