Per Curiam.
Pursuant to R.C. 2929.05(A), this court is required to review all cases in which the sentence of death has been imposed in the same manner in which we review other criminal cases and, in addition, to independently weigh the aggravating circumstances against the mitigating factors adduced at trial, and determine whether the sentence of death is appropriate in the case at bar. State v. Maurer (1984),
