CRAIN, Judge.

Stanley Pravata was indicted by the St. Tammany Parish Grand Jury for two counts of first degree murder, in violation of La.R.S. 14:30. Defendant entered the dual plea of not guilty and not guilty by reason of insanity. He was tried by a jury, which convicted him as charged. In the sentencing phase of the bifurcated trial, the jury was unable to agree upon the appropriate sentence; and, thus, no recommendation was reported to the trial court. Thereafter...
