Lionel Worthy was indicted by the East Baton Rouge Parish Grand Jury for aggravated rape, a violation of La.R.S. 14:42. A jury convicted him as charged; and, thereafter, the trial court imposed the mandatory sentence of life imprisonment, without benefit of probation, parole or suspension of sentence. Defendant appealed, urging twelve assignments of error and briefing eleven in nine arguments.1 Assignments of error not briefed...
