John E. Britain was the maintenance supervisor for the Alabama State Docks in Mobile. He was indicted and convicted for two violations of the Alabama Ethics Act, § 36-25-5, Code of Alabama 1975. In each case, he was sentenced to five years' imprisonment, fined $5000, and ordered to pay $25 to the Alabama Crime Victims Compensation Fund.
