The defendant, Bedford Doyle Ruff, was charged by indictment with second degree murder, LSA-R.S. 14:30.1, for the shooting death of W.O. "Posey" Adams. He urged self-defense, LSA-R.S. 14:20, and requested discovery of evidence that would support his claim.
