Scheigert was found guilty of possessing one unregistered machinegun in violation of 26 U.S.C. §§ 5861(d), 5871 and transferring the same machinegun without approval of the Secretary of the Treasury in violation of 26 U.S.C. §§ 5861(e), 5871.
