No. 83-5208.

810 F.2d 879 (1987)

UNITED STATES of America, Plaintiff-Appellee, v. Hector ALVAREZ, Defendant-Appellant.

United States Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit.

Decided February 17, 1987.

As Amended February 17, 1987.

Attorney(s) appearing for the Case

Allan Ides, Los Angeles, Cal., for defendant-appellant.

Jimmy Gurule, Asst. U.S. Atty., Los Angeles, Cal., for plaintiff-appellee.

Before CANBY, REINHARDT and NOONAN, Circuit Judges.

CANBY, Circuit Judge:

Hector Alvarez appeals his conviction for possession of cocaine with intent to distribute and for conspiracy, 21 U.S.C. §§ 841(a)(1), 846. He contends that the district court erred when it denied his motion to suppress certain statements and physical evidence obtained after his warrantless arrest by federal agents. We agree with Alvarez and reverse the conviction.
