The appellants ("Aguons") and appellees ("Calvos") each filed a petition to register title to a plot of land identified as "Lomsed." Each opposed the other's petition. The Superior Court of Guam initially ordered registration of title in the Calvos on the theory that the Calvos were bona fide purchasers.
