DOUCET, Judge.

Upon denial of his claim for worker's compensation benefits, plaintiff filed suit against his employer, Schlumberger, and its worker's compensation insurer, Travelers Insurance Company. After trial on the merits, the district court awarded plaintiff temporary total disability compensation benefits, medical expenses, and attorney fees and penalties. Defendants have appealed.
