Plaintiff, Glenn A. Duhon, brought suit against the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury and Wayne McElveen, Sheriff of Calcasieu Parish, for personal injuries sustained while he was an inmate in the parish prison. The trial court rendered judgment in favor of plaintiff in the amount of $6,515.60 against Sheriff McElveen.
