OPINION

DIAL, Justice.

Appellant was found guilty of the offense of capital murder of Emory Brantley, Jr. The jury answered the first special issue in the negative, and the trial court then assessed punishment at confinement for life.

In his first point of error, appellant asserts that the trial court erred in excusing venireman, Albert C. Garza, simply because Garza voiced general objections to the death penalty, or conscientious or religious scruples...
