Appellant Russell J. Beckwith filed suit against Clark County, Nevada ("the County") alleging that the County had terminated his employment in violation of his statutory and due process rights. The County moved for summary judgment, asserting that Beckwith had no property interest in his job and that due process protection was unavailable to him as a matter of law.
