Appellant, Walter V. Nelson, purchased parcels of real property from respondent, George N. Nelson, on a contract for deed, and built homes on two of the parcels. One home was sold. Appellant subsequently defaulted on contract payments and was served with notice of cancellation. He then filed a mechanics' lien and notice of lis pendens against the improved lot and brought a mechanics' lien foreclosure action and an unjust enrichment...
