CHAPMAN, Circuit Judge:

Appellants, Henry James Wright and Carolyn Wright, were convicted of various criminal charges in a trial at which they represented themselves. Both defendants were convicted of income tax evasion in violation of 26 U.S.C. § 7201 (1982) and of obstruction of justice in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 1503 (1982). Appellant Henry Wright was also convicted of transporting women across state lines for the purpose of prostitution in violation...
