Mary Garrett Ross filed suit to recover damages for injuries sustained when her feet were run over by a truck while she was crossing a street in New Orleans on August 29, 1983. She alleged that the driver of the truck, Robert Weddell, his employer who owned the truck, Joseph Celino, and the insurer of the truck, Aetna Casualty and Surety Company are liable for her injuries.
