By will dated December 15, 1954, Mrs. Georgie Hodges devised certain real property in Jackson to appellee's predecessor, The Methodist Conference, in trust "for the benefit of needy colored children". Mrs. Hodges' will directed that the property not be sold for ten years, with the income therefrom to be used as a scholarship fund for the education of colored children.
