This is an appeal from a denial of a new trial on a petition for a writ of error coram nobis. It must be remembered throughout this opinion that the evidence at the original trial was overwhelming beyond a reasonable doubt that Willie Albert Smith did brutally murder Shirley Roberts on March 15, 1981. It also must be remembered, however, that it has been clearly established that two of the state's witnesses committed...
