The defendant, Jerry Carter, was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, in violation of La.R.S. 40:964 Schedule I C(22), 40:966 A(1), and 40:966 B(2). At a hearing held on March 6, 1985, the trial court denied defendant's motion to suppress both evidence and statements obtained as a result of two (2) searches conducted on January 30, 1984. On March 11, 1985, the defendant changed his plea from not guilty to guilty reserving...
