Defendant appeals from convictions on jury trial for the crimes of rape in the first degree, sexual abuse in the second degree and three counts of sodomy in the first degree. The Court of Appeals affirmed defendant's conviction without opinion. State v. Carr, 79 Or.App. 548, 719 P.2d 925 (1986).

Defendant contends that the trial court erred in allowing the state to elicit testimony regarding the victim's character for truthfulness...
