Hortencia Bohen, a former employee of the City of East Chicago Fire Department, brought the action below claiming that she was fired on the basis of her national origin or sex or in retaliation for filing discrimination charges with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. She also alleged she was the victim of sexual harassment on the job. Her complaint maintained that the discharge and sexual harassment violate Title VII of the Civil Rights...
