The defendant was convicted of aggravated crime against nature in violation of LSA-R.S. 14:89.1 and sentenced to twelve years at hard labor without benefit of parole, probation or suspension of sentence.

On March 29, 1983 the defendant had a fight with his former girlfriend and broke her hand. When her eight year old daughter heard about the incident she told her mother that she had also been "hurt...
