A twelve-person jury found defendant guilty as charged of aggravated burglary. La.R.S. 14:60. The trial court sentenced defendant to serve 7 years imprisonment. The trial court then granted defendant's oral motion for appeal. La.C.Cr.P. Art. 914. The State then filed a bill of information charging defendant with being a second felony offender, having previously been convicted of felony theft, and requesting that defendant be resentenced under the provisions...
