BARRY, Judge.

Delores Davis was convicted of cruelty to a juvenile, La.R.S. 14:93, and sentenced to ten years at hard labor.

On September 15, 1982 the Department of Health and Human Resources received a complaint regarding a child left home alone. A human services worker, accompanied by Detective Cindy Burkhoudt of the Child Abuse Unit, went to the home about 6:00 p.m. The door was answered by eight year old Ernest Davis who stated that he had taken a nap...
