The state appeals the trial court's dismissal of an information against appellee James E. Billie. We have jurisdiction under Florida Rule of Appellate Procedure 9.140(c)(1)(A). We reverse.

The state's amended information charged that on December 1, 1983, in Hendry County, Billie "did unlawfully kill a member of Florida's endangered species as defined in Florida Statutes 372.072(3), to-wit: One Florida Panther, in violation of Florida Statutes...
