The defendant was charged with possession of hydromorphone and possession of pethodine in violation of R.S. 40:967. After preliminary motions the defendant proceeded to trial by a six-person jury. He was found guilty as charged and was sentenced to three years at hard labor, a $5,000.00 dollar fine and various court costs on count one and was further sentenced to three years at hard labor on count two to run concurrent with the sentence imposed in...
