Merrimack Mutual was the insurer of one David Weitz under a homeowner's policy including personal liability coverage. Weitz was operating a motorboat belonging to Barry Goldberg. Goldberg was injured by the apparently negligent operation of the boat by Weitz. Safeco at the time was the insurer of Goldberg under a boat owner's liability insurance policy.
