Was the failure of the Louisiana Department of Public Safety to suspend Gregory Sandoz's driver's license the cause-in-fact of an accident which occurred when Sandoz ran a stop sign and hit a truck, killing Sidney Guillot and injuring Alvin Vice? The trial judge found that it was not a cause-in-fact and rendered a judgment in favor of the State, rejecting the demands of the plaintiffs in both these two consolidated lawsuits brought by Alvin Vice...
