This is a suit by a tenured university professor for a declaratory judgment defining his employment status, reinstatement to his former position of employment, and all backpay, allowances, benefits and other emoluments of office. Defendants1 filed an "exception" of laches. After an evidentiary hearing, the trial court rendered judgment sustaining the exception of laches and dismissed the suit.
