The defendant, Jerry A. Dickinson, entered a plea of guilty to four counts of felony theft, a violation of La.R.S. 14:67 and one count of simple criminal damage to property, a violation of La.R.S. 14:56. These charges resulted from the defendant having been involved in a scheme with other co-conspirators to steal oil field equipment. The value of one of the items stolen was approximately $350,000.00.
