On July 28, 1980, plaintiff was injured in a car accident. On April 27, 1982, she commenced an action against defendant, the driver of the car in which she was a passenger, for "injuries to her head, back, neck, arms, legs, a serious impairment of body function and permanent disfigurement, including, but not limited to, marked psychogenic residuals of the anxiety neurosis and concern with internal bleeding".
