This is a direct appeal by the defendant, Sherman L. Galloway, who was convicted of rape (K.S.A. 21-3502), aggravated sodomy (K.S.A. 21-3506), aggravated robbery (K.S.A. 21-3427), and kidnapping (K.S.A. 21-3420). This case has been before this court twice on interlocutory appeals by the State. See State v. Galloway, 232 Kan. 87, 652 P.2d 673
