After a jury trial in the Superior Court, the defendant was found guilty of assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon (G.L.c. 265, § 15A) and armed robbery (G.L.c. 265, § 17). He was given concurrent sentences of eight to ten years. Prior to trial, the defendant filed a motion to suppress evidence of the victim's identification of him made at a District Court just prior to his arraignment...
