The plaintiff flight attendant recovered a judgment against the airline that employed her, its medical flight examiner, and its flight attendant supervisor. She claimed that the defendants invaded her privacy by disclosing her confidential medical data. The jury's verdict granted the flight attendant $14,000 compensatory damages and $20,000 punitive damages. The defendants then filed motions for a judgment notwithstanding the verdict or for a new trial...
