Defendant, Lenelle Jones, was charged by bill of information with the April 9, 1984 aggravated battery of Donald Ardoin, a violation of LSA R.S. 14:34.1 Defendant was arraigned on May 30, 1984 and pled not guilty. Defendant waived her right to trial by jury. On July 20, 1984, the Honorable Miriam G. Waltzer found defendant guilty as charged. On July 31, 1984 defendant was sentenced to ten (10) years at hard labor...
