Defendant, Ronald Desdunes, was charged by grand jury indictment with the November 30, 1983 aggravated kidnapping and aggravated rape of Cassandra Millen, a violation of LSA R.S. 14:441 and 14:42,2 respectively. Defendant was also charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, a violation of LSA R.S. 14:95.1.3 On
