COHEN, Justice.

A jury convicted appellant of aggravated robbery and assessed punishment of 10 years imprisonment. Tex.Penal Code Ann. sec. 29.02(a)(2) and 29.03(a)(2) (Vernon 1974). In a single ground of error, appellant contends that his appointed defense counsel at trial rendered ineffective assistance, and thus he was denied his constitutional right to counsel assured by the Sixth Amendment of the United States Constitution.
