This appeal arises from the defendant's conviction for aggravated burglary and for the aggravated rape of an Alexandria woman.

On August 25, 1983, the victim, a divorced woman living with her small child, was awakened from her sleep in her apartment in Alexandria, Louisiana, by a naked man who jabbed her in the chest with a screwdriver, threatened to kill her, robbed and raped her. The victim estimated that the rapist remained in her apartment...
