Stephen Johnson, defendant-appellant was charged by bill of information with armed robbery in violation of R.S. 14:64, and attempted armed robbery in violation of R.S. 14:64 and 14:27. The jury found appellant guilty on both counts he was sentenced to 99 years at hard labor without benefit of parole, probation, or suspension of sentence for armed robbery and 40 years at hard labor for the attempted armed robbery with the sentences to run concurrently...
