The claimant, Michael Ryan, appeals from a district court1 order which: granted the plaintiff's, Valley Line's, petition for a limitation of liability after one of its boats was involved in a river accident; found Valley Line negligent and Ryan contributorily negligent for an injury Ryan received during the accident; and resolved the issue of Valley Line's liability to other claimants
