On April 8, 1980, Albert Rushing (plaintiff) purchased a 1979 Ford Courier pickup truck. He financed the credit portion of the purchase price with Ford Motor Credit Company (Ford). The loan was secured by a mortgage on the truck. Plaintiff also obtained automobile insurance from defendant, Dairyland Insurance Company.
