On April 8, 1980, Albert Rushing (plaintiff) purchased a 1979 Ford Courier pickup truck. He financed the credit portion of the purchase price with Ford Motor Credit Company (Ford). The loan was secured by a mortgage on the truck. Plaintiff also obtained automobile insurance from defendant, Dairyland Insurance Company. Ford was named as the loss payee on the collision and comprehensive sections of the policy. On January 13, 1982, the truck was involved...
