The State offered evidence tending to show that on 18 August 1978, at approximately 2:30 a.m., defendant, Bruce Edward Gilliam, and Ralph Cunningham robbed the Pantry Food Store on Lewisville-Clemmons Road, Clemmons, North Carolina. Defendant was wearing blue jeans, a t-shirt and a green jacket. Cunningham was also wearing blue jeans. When defendant and Cunningham entered the Pantry, Cunningham pointed a .45 caliber automatic pistol at the cashier...
